I am Bulent Kaya, born in 1973 in Istanbul. After graduating from Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, I specialized in General Surgery at Vakıf Gureba Training and Research Hospital in 2004. I became an Associate Professor in 2014 and later a Professor in 2021. Currently, I work at Istanbul Rumeli University and Clinica Cirugia Nişantaşı, building on my extensive medical journey.
He served as a General Surgery Specialist in Karşıyaka State Hospital between 2008-2015.19 International and 17 national scientific studies in his field have been published. He has won awards in many international and national scientific competitions and also patented his own invention, a laparoscopic surgical instrument. In 2008, he was successful in the examination organized by the Turkish Surgical Association and received a surgical competence certificate. He is a member of Turkish Surgical Association, Turkish Colon and Rectum Association, Aegean Region Surgery Association, Izmir Medical Chamber Association. He earned the title of "Associate Professor" in 2017. More than 10000 laparoscopic bariatric surgeries and more then 20000 laparoscopic general surgery operations. He has many national and international studies and in these studies made numerous references. Advanced laparoscopic surgery, obesity surgery and oncological surgery is his special interest.
