I feel grief works strangely sometimes. Having lost both my parents in my early teens it was not until I was completing my final dissertation at university that I began to feel my inner world unravel. It was in this crucial time that TRC came in. The holistic approach TRC takes to wellbeing and the level of expertise within its doors is remarkable. Claire has been an incredibly important figure in my life. Claire has guided me through some pretty turbulent times, helping me become a more whole and happy person and I feel equipped to take on the next chapter of my life with love and excitement. I can’t thank TRC enough, I feel very fortunate to have had their support.

We found TRC a couple of years ago. The moment we were sitting at our Initial Consultation, we started to be hopeful as TRC is different in the most positive way to any other therapists I have met before. After a little convincing, my then teenager, agreed reluctantly to have one session. The moment we stepped into the very calming drawing room, my child started to relax, a lovely calm dog did help too. After one hour when I picked my child up, immediately we booked another appointment and never looked back. TRC has so much on offer from individual sessions to group meetings. Over time, as a mum you do struggle if your kids are not well and in TRC I found a wonderful therapist too. To make a long story short, over the years TRC helped us parents and our teenagers to find a way through very challenging situations. Whenever we step through their doors it will put a smile on our faces, even in difficult moments.

I’m delighted – and very much relieved. Too many previous practitioners and tools have been disappointing. We need the world to hear about TRC and EMDR with Lucinda.

At TRC I have been made to feel very welcome, my therapists have really helped me to get better. It is a very encouraging and kind environment and I feel like it is a safe place for me to talk. In the sessions it’s like I can really say how I feel without feeling pressured or nervous.

Our daughter has been helped enormously by the TRC team. The programme initially put in place was totally personalised to her individual needs and she was guided through her eating disorder struggles by a mixture of individual therapy, group therapy, nutritionist work, supervised meals and psychiatric input. The benefits of having all aspects of her treatment under one roof proved to be invaluable. TRC was, and I think will always be, a safe place for her to voice her true feelings and realise she is not alone. In addition, they were always willing to help us, as parents, through her recovery stages. They encouraged us through low points and genuinely celebrated milestones with us. TRC were very clear at the outset that the journey of recovery is a long haul with many challenges to be faced. Nearly three years later, that journey, while not finished is currently a smooth ride. We are immensely proud of her and how far she has come – to battle an eating disorder is a huge challenge –

The service we are receiving from TRC in treating our adolescent son for depression and anxiety has been life saving. Hope has been restored. They have a team of professionals who understand adolescents, providing the wrap around service we need .The in-depth knowledge around latest medications,treatments and therapies as well as taking time to listen, help, support and, when needed, to challenge our son has proven to be invaluable . Regular review meetings with all parties working towards the same goal and at our son’s pace means we have a cohesive way forward.The benefit of having an array of services available means that I have been able to receive independent support as a parent without a conflict of interest . The flexibility of having in person session , in a very calm, relaxed setting as well as online sessions has made the experience less stressful.

Finding the Recovery Centre, and being subsequently referred to Lucinda for EMDR, was a gift during an indescribably challenging time in my life. I had already tried other modalities finding little relief, and it was difficult to envision a way out or through the debilitating feelings. Attachment focused EMDR, albeit demanding work, has proved to be one of the most insightful and liberating processes I have ever undertaken. I cannot imagine a more skilled or compassionate practitioner and guide to have with you on that journey than Lucinda.

The support I’ve received from TRC, both in early recovery and as I’ve recovered from my eating disorder, has been exceptional. My treatment dealt with both my mental and physical health, which has helped me grow into a happier and healthier person. My therapists at TRC have never failed to understand my feelings, and group therapy has made me realise that I am not alone in my ways of thinking. My team always made me feel safe and heard, and often going to TRC has been a welcome break from the stressful outside world.

I came to TRC at a critical time during my adolescence. I was acutely anxious and depressed. From the onset, the team at TRC devised a personalised treatment strategy for me, and with their expert care, professionalism, warmth, and nurturance, I quite soon began to emotionally develop and rebuild my life.

Attending The Recovery Centre has been life changing. Despite feeling completely stuck after seeking help suffering from anorexia for over 5 years, the personal treatment from TRC got my recovery on track within a couple of months. The team are all amazing and go above and beyond to help everyone in their care. With the help and belief from all at TRC I am in a place that I never thought I would get to. I honestly believe that engaging with their professionals and the support offered, anything is possible. I feel a part of a TRC family and I will be forever grateful for the incredible support network they have provided for me to get my life back.

I credit this amazing community of practitioners with helping to save my teenage son’s life. After casting around for help in a woefully overstretched CAMHS and then approaching individual private mental health practitioners one by one for our severely struggling 13-year-old, we thankfully landed at this wonderful one-stop shop of psychotherapists, dieticians and psychiatrists. Together they helped him and us join the dots of what was behind his mental health struggles. He then spent the best part of two years as part of the TRC family, lunching there, engaging in group therapy, art therapy and massage therapy and lots and lots of talking. And when he didn’t feel like talking, he just went for walks with the empathetic therapists. And TRC also helped us, as parents, navigate our way through a very difficult family time. I’m glad to say that our son has finally been able to return to education. His mental health struggles are not over but I’m relieved to say that TRC don’t give up on th

TRC did a fantastic job of helping our 10-year-olds daughter’s malnourished state due to anorexia. Over a 4-month period they helped her back to a much more normal weight. She has not lapsed since and is now a healthy 13-year-old.

TRC and my therapist Sol offered me hope when I had lost all hope and have helped me to become a person I wouldn’t recognise or think possible 18 months ago.

When I started TRC, I was a broken woman. I had tried for so many years to cope on my own, and when I had finally hit my breaking point, TRC were there to scoop me up and help set me back on my feet. The various forms of one-on-one therapy and group therapy helped me find my voice, unpack years of baggage and learn how to live life as a functioning adult. I had ‘goals’ in life that I had dreamt of, but never expected to achieve, which I am now experiencing. Life still has its ups and downs, as it should, but I now know how to handle the good and bad times with the tools I learnt at TRC. Thank you everyone at TRC for helping me learn how to help myself.
