After our long and exhausting searches for a rare medical condition in a very dear, long time friend’s spine, while looking for a surgeon in North America, I’ve come across Dr. Kaptanoglu in Istanbul, Turkiye. I’ve met Dr. Kaptanoglu, decades ago in Toronto while he was participating in I think a research work at University of Toronto but we’ve part ways after he returned to Turkiye and didn’t have contact for the longest time. I immediately called him and on his request, we’ve sent him all the documents and images we’ve had at hand. He invited us to Turkiye to examine our friend. We’ve booked our flights and we were at his modern and comfortable offices in Istanbul within a few days. The day after our arrival, we were welcomed at Dr. Kaptanoglu’s clinic as if we were part of his family. Hear this now; all the imaging i.e. MR scan, Tomography, color scans that I cannot remember the proper names of, were done the SAME day within an afternoon!

Prof.Dr. Erkan Kaptanoglu has successfully completed my dads highly risky operation, he had severe back pain which caused paralysis in the legs. We had no hope but Dr Erkan did an excellent job and now my dad is able to walk. We would like to thank him and his great team. Much appreciated🙏🏻

On Tuesday, 20.06 I was operated by Prof. Dr. Erkan Kaptanoğlu and his team, for a brain tumor. I want to express my immense gratitude to the entire team, for their high professionalism and fantastic attitude before and after the perfectly performed operation. It hasn't even been a week and I'm already feeling very good. I was very lucky to meet you and wish you all the best!
