Extremely disappointed with my experience before and after my hand operation 20/01/2025.
The room I shared with another lady was absolutely freezing!! We both mentioned this to the nursing staff on a number of occasions who replied they were frozen also.
Obviously having not eaten or drank anything before our operations we felt it was unacceptable to sit for 4/5 hours in a freezing room, this resulted in the Anesthetist struggling with three attempts to put a cannula in my arm.
Also my arm block seemed to take a very long time to work with what seemed like several extra injections, I was shivering with cold so much from being in a freezing room for hours beforehand I had to have a heated blanket throughout the entire operation.
I have had this operation four months before at Thornby hospital Sheffield on my other hand it was 100% better in every respect.
Kinvara hospital is a disgrace although the surgeon Mr Sinha I feel is a brilliant surgeon.
My advice avoid this hospital!!

Absolutely brilliant. Had my surgery in the morning and and went home in the afternoon. All the staff were lovely and made sure I was comfortable. Could not fault the surgeon or the hospital. Had my last surgery at Rotherham General and had a terrible time. I would defintely recommend Kinvara.
