I've had an operation with Dr. Aydin Gozu. He was really kind and caring. My surgery was rather difficult that I had complications from a previous surgery. He corrected the previous damages, as well as esthetics. He was really good at making me feel understood. He is a skilled surgeon, highly recommend him regarding to his work ethic. His nurse Meral is also very nice in the sense that she always smiles. She came to visit me after surgery to let me know what happened and comforted me all along the process. About Us
Dr. Aydın Gözü, born in Antakya, Turkey, completed primary and secondary education at Samsun Anatolian High School. He graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine and embarked on his Aesthetic-Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery assistant training after fulfilling his mandatory duty.
During his training at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital (under the guidance of Clinical Chief Prof. Dr. Lütfü Baş) from 1992 to 1998, Dr. Gözü specialized in repair and hand microsurgery. In 1997, he furthered his expertise at François Rabelais University Faculty of Medicine in Tours, France, focusing on maxillofacial surgery under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Dominique Goga. In Paris, he expanded his knowledge in the domains of aesthetic-plastic surgery under the mentorship of Dr. B. Cornette de St Cyr.
Dr. Gözü continued his academic journey by joining Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1998, where he honed his skills in skull-facial surgery under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Ecmel Songür. He also pursued a rotation in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the USA.
Between 1999 and 2010, Dr. Gözü served as a chief assistant at Vakıf Gureba Hospital's Aesthetic-Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic, led by Associate Prof. Dr. Zafer Özsoy. During this period, he actively engaged in ongoing educational and scientific pursuits. In 2003, he furthered his plastic surgery proficiency alongside Ass. Prof. Dr. Talal Munasifi from Georgetown University at the Virginia Arlington Hospital in Washington DC.
In 2011, Dr. Gözü assumed the role of associate professor and then, in 2016, was honored to be appointed as a full professor at Istanbul Okan University Faculty of Medicine. Simultaneously, he established his own clinic in Suadiye, Istanbul, where he continues to provide specialized care.
In addition to Aesthetic-Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Gözü's areas of expertise encompass Hand Surgery (2011) and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (2012).
