Prof. Fatih Osman Kurtulus, a seasoned Urology specialist and Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU), commenced his illustrious journey in medicine, graduating from Istanbul University's Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine in 1997. His passion for urology led him through a transformative educational path marked by significant achievements and diverse experiences.
During his residency at Taksim Teaching and Training Hospital's Urology clinic in 2002, Dr. Kurtulus delved into various subdivisions of urology, solidifying his foundational knowledge and expertise. His pivotal roles as the head of the Urology Residents Association of Turkey and representative of the European Society of Residents Urology (ESRU) underscored his leadership qualities and commitment to fostering advancements in the field. Actively engaging in national and international meetings further enriched his understanding of global urological practices.
In pursuit of enhancing his skills, Dr. Kurtulus pursued specialized studies in endourology and urooncology at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Urology, refining his proficiency in advanced treatment methodologies.
His professional journey took him across several esteemed healthcare institutions. Between 2002 and 2004, he contributed as a urologist at Düzce State Hospital and Malatya Military Hospital, respectively. Subsequently, from 2004 to 2012, he served on the instructor staff at Taksim Training and Research Hospital's urology clinic. Dr. Kurtulus continued to deepen his expertise, obtaining the European Urology Board certificate (FEBU) in 2007 and undergoing advanced laparoscopy training in Strasbourg at IRCAD in 2008.
Expanding his horizons, Dr. Kurtulus honed his skills further in endourology and urooncology through experiences at Heidelberg University, Heilbronn clinic, and Milan San Raffaele IRCCS Hospital in 2009. His dedication and continuous pursuit of excellence culminated in earning the title of associate professor in 2012 and the prestigious professorship in urology in 2018.
His contributions extended to renowned medical facilities, including Medical Park Bahçelievler Hospital (2013-2016), Kolan International Hospital (2016-2019), and Medicana Kadıköy Hospital (2019-2020). Since May 2020, Dr. Kurtulus has been devotedly serving patients at his private clinic, offering personalized care rooted in his extensive experience and unwavering dedication to urological health and well-being.
