Greetings,

I am Professor Dr. Teksen Çamlıbel, serving as the director of Opal Clinic Istanbul.

Allow me to share a bit about my background. Following my graduation from medical school, I pursued further studies in the United States, securing a scholarship and taking on the role of an assistant professor at the University of Albany in New York. I spent a decade in America before returning to my hometown in Turkey.

In Istanbul, I took the helm of Obstetrics and Gynecology departments at esteemed institutions like Marmara University, International Hospital, Florence Nightingale Hospital, and Kadir Has University. Subsequently, I established my own medical center and hospital, known as Kalamış Medical Center and Jinemed Hospital.

My specialization lies in gynecology. Over the years, I've been instrumental in establishing numerous IVF centers in both academic and hospital settings, contributing to the setup of IVF facilities in places like Kosovo, Azerbaijan, Northern Iraq, Sarajevo, and two cities in Turkey. In fact, my team and I were pioneers in setting up the first IVF Center in Istanbul in 1990.

You might wonder about the connection between gynecology and hair transplantation. In IVF, we delicately combine a single sperm with a single egg under a microscope, creating embryos and assisting couples in their journey to parenthood. This process, much like hair transplantation, demands precision and expertise. We excel in both fields. With the advent of the DHI system, we now extract hair follicles and transplant them to other areas of the scalp using fine needles. Additionally, we're actively engaged in advanced research on hair treatment and stem cells within our cutting-edge laboratory.

As you're likely aware, stem cell therapy, PRP (platelet-rich plasma), and other growth factors are widely utilized in IVF. Consequently, implementing these techniques in hair transplant procedures is seamless for our team.

We produce our own stem cells and PRP in our dedicated laboratory, and also formulate specialized hair care products. Furthermore, we administer stem cell therapy, PRP, and various other treatments for medical aesthetic purposes within our clinic, all performed by our expert team.

As a professor and scientist, I ensure that our practices meet the highest standards and are rooted in sound scientific principles. My co-director, Dr. Melike, is also a trailblazer in hair transplantation technology in Turkey, boasting a track record of exceptional success.

At Opal Clinic, our focus extends beyond hair transplantation; we place significant emphasis on hair care and preventing hair loss in the first place. Hair transplantation is considered a last resort.
