Prof. Dr. Murat Tunç is a distinguished ophthalmologist with a rich educational background and extensive professional experience. After completing his primary and secondary education in Ankara, he graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1992. Dr. Tunç then specialized in ophthalmology at Dokuz Eylül University, followed by further training in Neuro-ophthalmology at Johns Hopkins University, Wilmer Eye Institute, Ocular Oncology at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), and Retina at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center and the University of Southern California, Doheny Eye Institute. His dedication to advancing his skills led him to specialize in Retina and bionic eye as a Fulbright Fellow.
Dr. Tunç's professional interests are focused on Ocular Oncology, Eye Tumors and Treatment, Orbital Tumors and Surgery, Eyelid Tumors, Oculoplasty, Medical Retina, Retinal Laser Applications, and Cataract Phaco Surgery. He is actively involved in various professional associations, including the Turkish Ophthalmology Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, among others.
