Prof. Dr. Polat Dursun is a distinguished expert in the field of Women's Health & Obstetrics, specializing in Gynecologic Oncology. He graduated from Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine in 2000 and completed his specialization at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2004. Following this, he worked as a fellow in Gynecologic Oncology under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Ali Ayhan.
Driven by a passion for advancing his skills, Prof. Dr. Dursun pursued further training in Italy at the European School of Oncology, supported by a scholarship. He then honed his expertise in nerve-sparing and radical pelvic surgery in Leipzig, Germany, under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Michael Hockel. During this time, he focused on innovative surgical approaches for cervical and vulvar cancer.
Prof. Dr. Dursun furthered his training in Berlin, where he collaborated with Prof. Achim Schneider and Prof. Cristhartd Kohler on laparoscopic gynecologic oncology at the Berlin Charite Hospital. His dedication to research and academic excellence has been recognized globally, earning him accolades and scholarships from prestigious institutions such as the European Association for Cancer Research, the European Society for Surgical Oncology, and the International Gynecologic Cancer Society.
