MD. Nilüfer Berker

Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Berker is an esteemed ophthalmologist with a focus on Retina, Vitreoretinal Surgery, and Uveitis Behçet. Born in Ankara in 1973, Dr. Berker completed their primary, secondary, and high school education at TED Ankara College before graduating from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1996. They then completed their specialty training at Ankara Ulucanlar Eye Training and Research Hospital, specializing in ophthalmology in 2000.

Dr. Berker's dedication to advancing eye care led them to Stanford University Faculty of Medicine in the United States in 2004, where they conducted research on surgical and intraocular injection treatments for macular degeneration and surgical treatments for retinal diseases. This experience broadened Dr. Berker's expertise, allowing them to bring innovative treatments to their patients in Ankara.

In 2009, Dr. Berker was appointed as an Associate Professor at Ankara Ulucanlar Eye Training and Research Hospital, where they served until 2018. They then joined Ufuk University Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Rıdvan Ege Hospital, Department of Ophthalmology, as a faculty member and received the title of professor in March 2018. Dr. Berker's commitment to academic excellence and patient care is reflected in their extensive career spanning over 26 years.
