Prof. Dr. Ebru Nevin Çetin is a distinguished Eye Care Specialist, Eye Surgeon, and Ophthalmologist with an impressive background in the field. Graduating from Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Medicine in 1999, she completed her residency in ophthalmology at the same university in 2004. Dr. Çetin began her career at Pamukkale University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology, in 2008, where she contributed significantly to the field.
In 2011, Dr. Çetin embarked on a specialized journey as a "Vitreoretinal Clinical Research Fellow" at Saint Louis University in the United States, focusing on retinal and uveal diseases. This experience further honed her expertise, leading to her appointment as an Associate Professor in 2014. She solidified her standing in the field by obtaining the FEBO title from the European Board of Ophthalmology in 2015 and the FICO title from the International Council of Ophthalmology in 2016.
Dr. Çetin's dedication to advancing ophthalmology is evident through her accolades, including winning the "Publication Performance" first prize in Health Sciences at Pamukkale University in 2018 and the first prize in the "Retinal Research" competition by the Turkish Ophthalmology Association in 2019. Her commitment to research led her to complete the Neuroscience Doctorate Program at Pamukkale University in 2023, earning a PhD degree in neuroscience.
Having retired from Pamukkale University Department of Ophthalmology, Dr. Çetin now continues her scientific pursuits in private practice, focusing on her main interests of retina, uvea, neuroophthalmology, and lens diseases.
