Associate Professor Dr. Cihangir Çakıcı graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1983. He worked as a general practitioner at Gazi University Medical Social Department between 1983-1985. He specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same university from 1985 to 1990.
After completing his specialization, Dr. Çakıcı served as a physician in the military at GATA from 1990 to 1991. He then worked as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Ankara Hospital of the Ministry of Health from 1991 to 1996. In 1995, he became an Associate Professor. From 1996 to 1999, he served as the Director of the Obstetrics and IVF Unit at Bayındır Hospital.
In 1990, Dr. Çakıcı opened his private practice on Meşrutiyet Street in Ankara. While practicing at his clinic, he also worked at Sevgi Millennium Hospital. In 2008, he established the Ankalife IVF Center. In 2012, he relocated his clinic to Tepe Prime Business Center, where he currently sees patients.
Dr. Çakıcı holds various certificates, including a Certificate in Assisted Reproductive Techniques, and certificates in Obstetric and Gynecological Ultrasonography from foreign universities where he attended professional training programs.
As one of the first physicians in Turkey to hold a specialization certificate in IVF, Dr. Çakıcı remains dedicated to his work in this field. He advocates for natural childbirth unless medically necessary. Dr. Çakıcı has been invited as a speaker to numerous national and international conferences and trainings on IVF, and he is frequently featured on national television for his expertise in the field.
Dr. Çakıcı served as the General Secretary of the Ankara Gynecology Society from 1992 to 1994 and the Turkish Gynecology Society from 1994 to 1995. In 2013, he founded the Clinics Association to advocate for clinic physicians' rights, protect their interests, collaborate in the health field, represent clinics, and assist in solving common problems. He currently serves as the President of the Clinics Association. In 2015, he opened an IVF center in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. In 2019, he established an IVF clinic in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
