Dr. Aret Çerçi Özkan is a distinguished plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a remarkable career trajectory. Born in 1971 in Istanbul, Dr. Özkan embarked on his medical journey at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of English Medicine in 1989. During his time as a medical student, he chaired the organizing committee of the "III. International Cardiology Student Days" symposium in 1993 and completed an internal internship at Russel-Hall Hospital in Birmingham, England.
After graduating as the sixth of his term from the Faculty of Medicine, English Department of Medicine in 1995, Dr. Özkan pursued specialization in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. He dedicated six years to studying plastic and reconstructive surgery, including hand surgery, and became an Aesthetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Specialist in 2002.
Dr. Özkan's career has been marked by significant achievements, including his tenure as a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Specialist at Surp Pırgiç Armenian Hospital from 2002 to 2007. He has published 33 clinical articles, presented at numerous conferences, and patented three hand tools for nasal aesthetic surgeries. In 2019, he was awarded first place in the clinical branch at the Specialist Research Competition by the Turkish Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Association for his scientific article on angulation disorders of the nose tip cartilages.
Currently, Dr. Özkan serves as a lecturer at Kocaeli Health and Technology University, where he continues to contribute to the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
