Born in Eskişehir in 1984, Dr. Ahmet Savran completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in his hometown. Graduating from Eskişehir Science High School in 2002, he moved to Izmir to pursue a medical degree at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine, which he completed between 2002 and 2008. He specialized in orthopedics at Izmir Tepecik Training and Research Hospital from 2008 to 2014. Early in his career, Dr. Savran developed a keen interest in hand surgery, leading him to observational stints at EMOT Hospital and prestigious institutions such as the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center in the USA and Massachusetts General Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School.
After a brief tenure at Kastamonu Taşköprü State Hospital for his compulsory service, Dr. Savran obtained the National Orthopedics "board" certificate and excelled in the 2014 subspecialty exam, starting his Hand Surgery training at Izmir Katip Çelebi University Atatürk Training and Research Hospital. He further distinguished himself by earning the European Hand Surgery Diploma in Copenhagen.
Completing his compulsory service at Atatürk Training and Research Hospital, Dr. Savran was recognized for his expertise in hand surgery, particularly in finger amputations, earning the Doctor of the Year Award from the Ministry of Health. After five years, he established his private practice in Izmir. Dr. Savran has contributed significantly to medical literature through publications, translations, and book chapters, and he serves as a referee for numerous journals. He is fluent in English and German.
