Dr. Mehmet Hakan BULAM embarked on his medical journey in 2000 at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (English). Graduating in 2006 after six years of rigorous education, he swiftly excelled in the Medical Specialization Exam and commenced his specialization at Gazi University Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery Department. In 2012, he earned the esteemed title of Turkey's leading teacher in Plastic Surgery after a comprehensive six-year residency.
Following his specialization, Dr. BULAM achieved success in written and oral international exams in Helsinki and Brussels in 2013, earning the distinguished title of "Member of the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons" (Fellow of European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery-FEBOPRAS). He also holds a professional qualification diploma from the "Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association."
He is an active member of ISAPS, a full member of the Turkish Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association, as well as the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Association. In 2022, he obtained the International Health Tourism authorization certificate.
Throughout his tenure at University and Training-Research Hospitals, Dr. BULAM specialized in aesthetic surgery, microsurgery, cancer and reconstructive surgery, and maxillofacial surgery. He also contributed significantly to the face transplant and organ transplant teams during his time at Gazi University. Simultaneously, he honed his expertise in aesthetic surgery and non-surgical procedures by actively participating in various courses, congresses, and meetings.
Since transitioning to private practice, Dr. BULAM has been dedicated to aesthetic face, breast, and body surgeries, as well as non-surgical aesthetic treatments. He is also a lecturer at Istanbul Şişli Vocational School.
With over 40 articles published in international and national refereed journals, along with numerous oral presentations in various scientific forums, Dr. BULAM is a respected figure in the field. He has also contributed as an author and translator for book chapters both internationally and nationally. He remains closely attuned to professional international developments. Proficient in English, his interests extend to fitness, basketball, healthy living, music, and travel.
