Dr. Mete Edizer - MT Clinic

Prof. Dr. Mete Edizer is a seasoned expert in the field of medicine, with an impressive career spanning over 32 years. Born in 1968 in Alsancak, Izmir, Dr. Edizer's journey in medicine began at İzmir Atatürk High School, where he graduated in 1985. He then went on to graduate from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine in 1991, after which he completed his compulsory service in Muş Bulanık district and Muş State Hospital emergency room between 1992-1993.

Following his military service in Bitlis from 1994-1995, Dr. Edizer pursued his doctorate in Anatomy from 1996-2001. He later worked as an assistant professor at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Anatomy, from 2003-2010, where he contributed significantly to the establishment of problem-based learning. In 2010, he returned to Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine as an associate professor.

Throughout his career, Dr. Edizer has been dedicated to education and research, giving lectures on anatomy and acupuncture at various universities. He has also been actively involved in congresses, delivering speeches on anatomy, acupuncture, and ozonotherapy. In 2018, Dr. Edizer established the GETAT (Traditional and Complementary Medicine) Center and the Lyme Research Center at Dokuz Eylül University, highlighting his commitment to advancing medical knowledge and practices.
