About Dr. Cetin Karaca:
He was born in Malatya, Turkey, on December 22, 1969, and completed his primary and secondary education there. In 1987, he began his medical studies at Istanbul University's Faculty of Medicine, earning his degree in July 1993. He then specialized in internal medicine, starting as an assistant at Istanbul University's Faculty of Medicine in the same year and becoming an Internal Medicine Specialist on March 8, 1998.
His journey continued as he pursued subspecialization in Gastroenterohepatology at Istanbul University's Faculty of Medicine, completing his training on March 8, 2003, to become a gastroenterology specialist. In November 2006, he attained the title of Associate Professor in Gastroenterology. He furthered his expertise by working as a research fellow in endosonography at the Massachusetts General Hospital gastroenterology clinic at Harvard University Medical School from September 2008 to April 2009, where he contributed to publications and prestigious endoscopy journals as the first author.
Returning to Istanbul University's Faculty of Medicine, Department of Gastroenterohepatology in September 2009, he achieved the rank of Professor in June 2012. Since 2014, he has been providing medical services in a private practice. He is a married individual and proud father of two children, with proficiency in English.
