Dr. İsmail Melih Kuzu, born in Ankara in 1986, embarked on a remarkable journey in the field of medicine. After completing his education at Istanbul Men's High School, he pursued a degree in English Medicine at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty in 2005. Following his graduation, Dr. Kuzu delved into the realm of specialization, honing his expertise in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Istanbul Bezm-i Alem Vakıf University Faculty of Medicine, commencing in 2011.

Throughout his specialist training, Dr. Kuzu demonstrated exceptional proficiency across an array of surgical procedures, encompassing body contouring, facial, nasal, and breast aesthetics, microsurgical tissue transplantation, skin cancer treatment, hand surgery, vascular-nerve-tendon repair, chronic wound care, cleft palate and lip repair, maxillofacial surgery, and jaw fracture and burn repair surgeries.

His dedication to learning extended beyond the operating room, as he actively sought out training in various aspects of facial aesthetics, earning certifications in botulinum toxin application, fillers, mesotherapy, laser techniques, and hair transplantation.

Dr. Kuzu's commitment to global health led him to volunteer with Doctors Worldwide, where he performed numerous cleft lip and palate surgeries in Yemen and Sudan. In 2015, he furthered his expertise in advanced reconstructive microsurgery through intensive training and clinical observation at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan.

In 2016, he achieved a significant milestone by passing the rigorous exams of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS), earning the esteemed European Plastic Surgery Competence Diploma and the title of European Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.

His journey culminated in December 2016, as he completed his specialist training, presenting a groundbreaking thesis on foot-to-hand finger transplantation and "foot-to-hand free vascularized joint transfer."

Post-specialization, Dr. Kuzu broadened his horizons by working as a clinical observer at NYU Langone Medical Center Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery in New York, USA, where he participated in a wide spectrum of plastic surgery procedures, including body contouring, high-definition liposuction, breast aesthetics, face-lifts, neck-lifts, and more.

Between 2018 and 2020, Dr. Kuzu fulfilled his public service obligation at Zonguldak Atatürk State Hospital, further enriching his clinical experience.

Since 2021, Dr. Kuzu has been dedicated to his private practice in Istanbul, where he continues to provide exceptional care. His contributions to the fields of aesthetic surgery, microsurgery, hand surgery, burn repair, and reconstructive surgery have been recognized and published in both national and international journals.

In addition to his medical expertise, Dr. Kuzu is fluent in both German and English. He is married and is the parent of a child.
