About Us
About Dr. Gesakis Kanellos
Dr. Kanellos Gesakis is a distinguished Plastic Surgeon and serves as the Director of Plastic Surgery at Metropolitan Hospital. His expertise lies in Aesthetic Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and Microsurgery, garnered through intensive training in Great Britain, Taiwan, and Brazil.
Having earned the European Diploma of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery (FEBOPRAS) from the European Committee for Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery (EBORPAS), Dr. Gesakis furthered his education with a MASTER Degree (MSc) in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery from Queen Mary University in London.
His journey in Plastic Surgery commenced with a junior Trainee role at leading Athens Hospitals, including Henry Dunant Hospital Center and Metropolitan Hospital. Seeking advanced training, Dr. Gesakis spent seven years at renowned University Hospitals in Great Britain, Taiwan, and Brazil, gaining extensive experience across the spectrum of Plastic Surgery.
He trained alongside eminent Plastic Surgeons, refining his skills in procedures such as Aesthetic Surgery, breast reconstructions, genetic anomalies, skin cancers, burns, and trauma. Dr. Gesakis has participated in numerous training courses and has served as a trainer himself. His contributions extend to numerous publications in esteemed international scientific journals and presentations at global conferences.
Established in Athens since 2014, Dr. Gesakis has performed over 4,000 registered operations. He is affiliated with Metropolitan Hospital of Athens, a member of the Greek Association of Plastic Surgery, Athens Medical Association, British Medical Association, European Community of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, and World Community of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery.
Additionally, he actively contributes to the GiveMe5 Foundation, a non-profit based in India, providing essential Plastic Surgery services for children with genetic anomalies worldwide. Dr. Gesakis prioritizes safety, confidentiality, and achieving natural, excellent results. This is made possible through his extensive training and collaborative efforts in the field of Plastic Surgery, bolstered by his global network of contacts.
