Dr. Andreas Ellinas is a distinguished ENT surgeon with a wealth of experience and qualifications. He completed his initial medical training at the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, before undertaking the first part of his Specialty Training in Cyprus under the Greek Surgical Training Programme in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Ellinas furthered his expertise through Advanced Specialist Training in the UK, where he completed several fellowships in specialized areas such as Rhinology (Endoscopic Sinus Surgery/Anterior Skull Base Surgery), Rhinoplasty (Functional and Cosmetic), Paediatric ENT (Utilization of Coblation for minimal blood loss procedures), Otology (Neurotology/Vertigo), Sleep Disordered Breathing (Snoring/Obstructive Sleep Apnoea), and Voice (Specialist Voice Clinics/Microphonosurgery).
His dedication to excellence led to the acquisition of several prestigious titles, including MRCS (ENT) and DOHNS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Dr. Ellinas was later awarded the title of FRCS and the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery CCST (ORL – HNS).
Dr. Ellinas has held prominent positions, serving as a Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist – Head and Neck Surgeon and Head of the Rhinology Department at Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust Hospitals in the UK. He played a crucial role as the ENT Department’s Educational Lead in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, overseeing the training of ENT Surgeon Trainees within the Kent, Surrey, and Sussex Training Deanery.
Recognized for his expertise, Dr. Ellinas is a Fellow of the European Board of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery FEB (ORL – HNS) and serves as an Examiner of the European Board Examination in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery since 2021. Additionally, he has been honored with the title of FACS, becoming an International Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
