One year ago, as a new mother, I got breast engorgement and blocked milk duct. In the dark night, I used the dim light in the toilet to clear the ducts. However, it was painful and ineffective. I couldn’t stop crying and worried that my crying would wake up my baby. As soon as the day broke, I searched for lactation consultant in Singapore on Google. I made at least twenty calls from public hospitals to private hospitals, including private lactation consultants. No one works during public holidays and they only available on Monday. I was on the verge of collapse until I called Mount Elizabeth Hospital. The operator told me she would contact the lactation consultant on the ward to see if she was available, but asked me not to get my hopes up and she would call me back.

deliver my 4 children in this hospital. Their nurses are fantastic and caring. The only system that needs to be updated is their payment and billing system to lessen the wait upon discharge. The cashier and admission/discharge customer service are great too. However the real 5 stars goes to my lactation consultant, Xing Li when delivered my 4th child. I breastfed my first 3 for one year plus each. You would think that I know everything… until I met Xing Li. She is not only accurate and helpful, in fact she overdelivers her services by helping to clear plugged ducts/mastitis.

Had a day surgery today, and was taken really good care of by Yeaminnie at the day ward! (might have spelled her name wrongly) Really attentive and patient! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I was admitted from clinic to hospital. Admission was really smooth. Nur Alshfika handles my documents and time so calmly and politely. She made my day. I was give a free room upgrade to Executive Suites. The room was so big and nice. Very clean and great. Some nurses are nice while some are just grumpy. The renovated room still need more touch ups. TV has no batteries changed have to go so near to press. The calling nurse button working the light and tv buttons are not working. I had to keep calling the nurses and night shift ones are not welcoming at all. There is no difference in food between Mount E Orchard and Novena. All the same. Admission to Ops Private Hospital is still the best.

I'm sharing my review based on my stay at the maternity/labour and delivery wards. Firstly, the service from the front desk staff, nurses, f&b staff, and even the housekeeping staff was impeccable. Everyone was so welcoming, warm and reassuring, being all so kind and patient even when I was in the midst of horrible labour contractions. My labour journey was not easy and I opted for an emergency c-section. I couldn't have asked for a better team there - my appointed gynae and her team of well established anaesthetist, paediatrician and surgery staff. Every administration detail was well looked into swiftly and our son was delivered healthily. The food offered there was amazing too, for hospital standards, but now that I'm at the confinement centre, I dare say that Mount E's food quality and taste way surpasses what confinement centres can offer. With the quality of care, service, food and lodging, the bill was within reasonable means and I would highly recommend mothers-to-be to conside
