About Us

Professor Dr. Yavuz Başterzi, born in Izmir in 1974, embarked on his medical journey at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 1991, culminating as the top graduate in 1997. Following this achievement, he pursued specialized training at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery from 1998 to 2003.

In 2004, Başterzi assumed the role of an assistant professor at Mersin University Faculty of Medicine. In 2007, driven by a keen interest in craniomaxillofacial surgery, he sought further expertise at the esteemed "Baylor College of Medicine" in the USA, working alongside the renowned Dr. Larry Hollier for two months.

His academic journey reached significant milestones, attaining the title of Associate Professor of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in April 2010, followed by the esteemed title of Professor in 2015. In 2012, with the establishment of the new specialization in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery by the Ministry of Health, his application was approved by the Board of Medical Specialization, allowing him to acquire this as his secondary specialization.

Presently, he remains actively engaged in academia as a distinguished faculty member at Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Medicine, specializing in Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
