Hakan Kerem, MD, Assoc. Prof., was born on January 30, 1973, in Manisa, Turkey, where he completed his elementary education. He then attended Gaziantep High School of Science, graduating with honors. His passion for medicine has been a driving force in his education and professional journey since childhood.
Dr. Kerem commenced his medical education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1990 and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1998. Following his graduation, he pursued specialized training in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Ege University, where he was selected as a resident in 1999. During his residency (2004), he actively participated in various projects and surgeries as a research assistant at the "Providence Hospital Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Section, Institute for Craniofacial and Reconstructive Surgery" clinic in Michigan, USA.
Upon completing his residency and presenting his thesis in 2005, Dr. Kerem became a specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery. He then worked as a research assistant at the ONEP Aesthetic-Plastic Surgery Clinic in Levent, Istanbul, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Onur Erol from May to October 2005. Subsequently, from 2009 to 2015, he served as a Plastic Surgery Specialist and Assistant Professor at Manisa Celal Bayar University, Faculty of Medicine Hospital.
In 2015, Dr. Kerem was awarded the title of Associate Professor in the field of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery. Following this achievement, he decided to pursue his passion further by opening his own clinic. Today, under the professional name "Hakan Kerem," he continues to excel in the field of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery, dedicated to making a difference in his patients' lives and fulfilling their dreams through the use of the most precise techniques available.
Dr. Kerem is not only passionate about his profession but also dedicated to expanding his knowledge. He values family bonds greatly and is a proud father of two sons.
