Professor Dr. Ahmet Emre Süslü was born in Ankara in 1976 and completed his primary, secondary, and high school education at TED Ankara College. He pursued his passion for medicine at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, entering in 1993 and graduating in 1999. Dr. Süslü began his specialty training at the same institution, specializing in Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases, and earned his ENT specialist title in 2004.
Following his specialization, he worked as a specialist at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases from 2004 to 2005. In 2012, he was appointed as an Associate Professor. After a brief hiatus from his academic career, he resumed it in 2014 at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of ENT.
Dr. Süslü's dedication to advancing his expertise led him to pursue further training and education. In 2015, he conducted studies on surgical treatments for sleep apnea at Stanford University in the United States. He further honed his skills by obtaining a certificate in polysomnography (sleep tests) in 2016. In 2018, he achieved a certificate in 'Robotic Surgery' at the IRCAD Research Center in Strasbourg, France.
With a focus on surgical treatments for sleep apnea and snoring, as well as nasal-sinus diseases, Professor Dr. Ahmet Emre Süslü has contributed significantly to his field. He has authored book chapters and articles in over 80 national and international publications. He is also a sought-after speaker at national and international scientific meetings, where he delivers lectures, courses, and scientific presentations on various subjects. His dedication and contributions were recognized with the title of Professor in 2019.
