Situated in the vibrant heart of Hamburg, the Asklepios Klinik St. Georg stands as a beacon of maximum care, offering an extensive range of medical services. Recognized nationally as a specialist provider of high-performance medicine, our clinic is deeply committed to advancing healthcare.
Our dedication to excellence extends beyond patient care. We prioritize the continuous professional growth of our staff, providing them with comprehensive training and further education opportunities. Moreover, we understand the importance of work-life balance, offering sports and relaxation facilities for our employees. Additionally, we go the extra mile by providing external employee advice and family services through CAPE DIEM.
The roots of our esteemed institution trace back to around 1190, with the establishment of a "Seekenhuss" dedicated to the revered knight George. In 1823, a new hospital building was inaugurated, gracing the clinic with its picturesque location on the banks of the Alster. This historic foundation renders it the oldest and most esteemed municipal hospital in Hamburg. Notably, our establishment also housed Hamburg's inaugural nursing training center in 1909. The rapid evolution of medical science led to the creation of numerous pioneering medical departments, some of which now stand as the oldest of their kind in German-speaking regions.
For over 195 years, our clinic has been synonymous with medical expertise and a profound sense of responsibility. With medical centers and specialized departments, we offer an extensive range of services, solidifying our position as a national leader in high-performance medicine. As a certified supra-regional trauma center in Hamburg, we stand ready to provide acute care for accident victims at a level that marries clinical excellence with scientific rigor.
Each year, approximately 80,000 individuals, both inpatients and outpatients, benefit from treatment utilizing the most cutting-edge methods at the Asklepios Klinik St. Georg. This remarkable endeavor is made possible by a team of over 1,600 highly dedicated employees, all committed to shepherding our patients towards recovery and well-being.
